COVID-19 PAXLOVID TREATMENT

We are providing Paxlovid antiviral treatment for eligible patients with a prescription.

Patients must have a valid prescription from a prescriber and fit very strict criteria to be eligible. Contact the pharmacy for a full assessment to determine if you are eligible.

Treatment is not without risk as Paxlovid has serious side effects and drug interactions. It is important you disclose all medical conditions, and herbal supplements, over-the-counter and prescription medications you are taking.

To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:

​

1) You must have a positive COVID test (home rapid test, healthcare administered rapid test or PCR test)
2) You must have mild to moderate symptoms and be starting treatment 5 days or less after symptoms start.
3) You must also meet one of the following:
a) 18+ with significant immunocompromise
b) 70+
c) 60+ with less than 3 doses of a COVID vaccine
d) 18+ with less than 3 doses of COVID vaccine AND one of the following:
Obesity (BMI >30)
Diabetes
Heart Disease OR HTN OR CHF
Chronic Respiratory Disease
Cerebral Palsy
Intellectual and developmental disabilities
Sickle Cell Disease
Moderate to severe kidney disease
Moderate to severe liver disease
Pregnant and unvaccinated

4) Be at high risk of severe disease including hospitalisation and death.
